Thomas Degris' Home Page

I am a postdoc in Flowers, an INRIA team in Bordeaux. I am interested in artificial intelligence and machine learning. More specifically, I focus my research on systems that can learn online how to act in real-time while interacting with an environment. Such research is fascinating because it is a problem that any living creature has to solve at each instant. Fundamental questions are posed: how to act, explore, and adapt to dynamic environments? how to process the continuing information flow of the sensorimotor interaction with the real world? how to discover abstractions from fast low-level information? I am convinced that the answers to these questions are the key to artificial intelligence.
